Chronic Injures:
Chronic injuries can be subtle and slow to develop. They sometimes come and go and may cause dull pain or soreness. Often, they are caused by overuse, develope when an acute injury is not taked care of or doesn't heal properly.
Treatment:
Heat is used for chronic injuries or injuries that have no inflammation or swelling. Moist, damp heat therapy is best because it increases circulation as well as raises skin temperatures, and should be applied to sore, stiff, nagging muscles or joint pain. The heat increases the elasticity of joint connective tissues and to stimulate blood flow. Athletes with chronic pain or injuries should use heat therapy before exercising. Using the oils of Eucalyptus of Skin Specific together with the heat of Flax Seed Filled Body Warmers helps to relax tight, spasm muscles, sore or stiff nagging muscles and joint pain. Don't apply heat after exercises. After a workout or exercise, ice should be used on a chronic injury.
